Hello,

I am trying to install a test system using homegenous system copy method from production system .

SAP version is ERP 6.0, Kernel Patch is 310 Using SR3 installation DVDs.

OS verion is iSeries V6R1M0.

Using IASP.

I passed the restore and journal creation steps and my installation stopped at adjust nametab step.

It gives the following error in dipgntab.log file.

/usr/sap/URQ/SYS/exe/run/dipgntab=>sapparam(9): environment variable

$SAPSYSTEM format error.

ERROR in initialization (can't get R/3-version)

ERROR in initialization (can't get R/3-version)

I applied the "Note 852158 - iSeries: Regenerating the system catalog

views" and ran the following commands;

CALL QSYS2/QSQXRLF PARM(DLT R3URQDATA)

CALL QSYS2/QSQXRLF PARM(CRT R3URQDATA)

But still get the same error.

When I try to run the following commands in QSH by login on to the

system with SIDADM it give the errors below.

/usr/sap/URQ/SYS/exe/run/dipgntab -rwr40 -srctt DDNTT -srctf DDNTF -

Hi Yuksel,

did you really place the following into the default profile ?

dbs/db4/rdbname = <IASPname>

Do you see with WRKENVAR with sidofr the following ?

dbs_db4_rdbname = <IASPname>

If not, your issues are clear ...

Hello Volker,

Yes both default.pfl and envvars are available for sidadm and sidofr users.

Hello,

The problem was because of object owners, object journals and object authorities.

Since the DB was 7.5TB partial restore applied in this copy.

AS4FIXFILE command rerun and problem fixed.
