Hi, In SAP BO 4.0 We have OLAP Connections in the CMC Home where we can create connections.
In our environment suddenly it has disappeared from CMC even though we didn't make any changes.
Please help us if anyone has faced this earlier.
Thanks,
Kalyan
Hi Kalyan,
The OLAP Connections obviously should not "disappear" without user interaction.
Try the following to see if they have simply been "misplaced":
1. In the CMC, go to OLAP Connections and enter the title of the missing connection in the Search Title dialog box, if it is found, you will be able to see it's new location. If it is not found then I can only assume that it has been deleted by a user...
If you have auditing enabled you may be able to see who has removed the connection, the Event type ID for deleted objects is 65543, you would need to check for that in the logs and link it to object id for the missing OLAP Connection.
I'm assuming that a user has deleted the OLAP Connection folder accidently, otherwise it is also possible that a script has been used ot delete the OLAP Connection folder.
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
Kind regards,
John
