Error in the specifications for area 01 in ch.of dep

Hi,

In our business scenario there are two different chart of depreciation which are Spain and Morocco. Spain has currency EUR and Morocco has MAD. Spain asset CWIP process has done successfully but Morocco has the problem found. While doing actual settlement through KO88 for CWIP asset settlment, one error is being occured as "There is an error in the specifications for area 01 in ch.of dep.

Diagnosis

You specified that depreciation area 01 should take over values or depreciation terms from itself. This specification is incorrect.

Procedure

Correct the specifications for area 01.

You need to assign the GL account which will carry the posting for AUC. Go to AO90 to update the GL account, select the asset class and check the account determination table.

It seems you have kept 01 as TTr in OABD for depreciation area 01

If the 01 is real depreciation area, do as below

Go to OABD

Depreciation area - 01

TTr should be 00 (You should not keep anything other than 00 here)

Hi,

As per your suggestion I have checked this and the error has changed as :

Account 'Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs' could not be found for area 01

Message no. AU133

Diagnosis

When creating the accounting document, the system could not find account 'Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs' in depreciation area 01 for company code 0910.

Procedure

Enter this account in the account determination for Asset Accounting.

Select COD, double click on Account Determination -> Select Asset class ->Double click on Balance sheet accounts from side window.

Assign GL Account to APC
