GRC AC10: Transporting BRF+ rules to QA server

Former Member

Hello Gurus,

We have configured/created custom BRF+ rules for Process Id: "Access Request" (Initiator & Agent rule) and for business role management.

While creating i was not aware if the BRF+ rules could be transported or not .

Now when i go to BRF+ and look at the individual Initiator & Agent Rule for Access request & Initiator for BRM functionality it shows "This Object is a customizing object and local . Versioning is on "

Will i be able to transport the currently available BRF+ rules ??

Or should i create the BRF+ rule manually again in QA box ?

I am not sure how do i transport these BRF+ rules to the QA box.

Need further guidance in this case.

Has anyone done a transport of the BRF+ rules.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Victor

Hi Victor,

I was not able to find the thread after SCN upgrade. Your transport seems to be good. But for the components, transport layer and other attributes, please discuss with ABAP team how your company is managing. You may want to follow those processes.

Let us know how did it go.

Hi Victor,

You can export and import these rules, functions or applications.

To export:

1.goto BRF+ Initial Screen> Workbench Menu> User Mode --> Expert Mode

2.Then Tools > Export> Select all checkboxes--> Generate XML File.

You can import the XML file using the import option.

If you want to transport the Object:

On the BRF+ Screen Top Right Corner--> Click on "You Can Also" --> Copy the application or function or rule > Select attributes like dev package, local or not......> Save to a transport

Probably a ABAPer might help you better with transports.

The following Tutorial may help you with BRFplus:

I am also new to BRF+ and these are the only options I know of.
