Solved: Install NetWeaver Java EE 5 problem.

Hi ALL.

My OS is Traditional Chinese Windows XP SP2, not English version.

I got problem in install Java EE 5 (SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06.rar).

Someone says I should change my WinXP default language to English.

Can anyone tell me which item should i change in the WinXP Control Panel?

Please give advice, thanks a lot.

Hi Nick,

I feel you will have to go Start -> Setting Control Panel -> reginal and Language Options and make the changes there.

I feel it will be advisable to restart the machine once before you proceed with the installation.

Thanks for your reply. I follow your direction, I change [Control Panel] / [Regional and Language] / [Advance] tab from [Chinese (Taiwan)] to [English (America)].

After reboot computer, I execute "Java EE 5" setup program in the console by enter command "E:\Misc\SAP\SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06>setup -is:javaconsole". Setup window only extract Java VM, then it close and nothing happen.

I also install "MS Loopback Adapter", and set this virtual ethernet interface IP to 10.10.0.10.

Am I miss any thing?

Hi Nick,

I think you have changed the wrong entry. Instead of the Advanced tab, please go to the Languages tab, click the Details button, and then change the Default input language to English. After that proceed as before.

Can you try giving a separate SYS ID. I feel the database JP1 has already been installed and it is not able to remove it.

I use "JP0" as new SYS ID in the setup dialog, but process still fail. Have anyone install SAP Java EE 5 succeed in a non-English WinXP OS? Please give advice, thanks a lot.
