I have been reading and practicing - SAP BW step by step guide" by FuFu -
In part-I , chapter 3, section 3.9 Create an InfoPackage to Load Transaction Data
While loading a Flat File, i get the following error
-

Message no. RSAR137
Diagnosis
An error occurred in record 1 during execution of conversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_INPUT for field UNIT.
Procedure

The above thread deals with the same error .
If some one else had this problem , can you please tell me how you fixed it ?
As you can tell , i am no expert in SAP BW , Even a little explanation of the solution suggested in the above thread will be of great help for me
Thanks
Hi Sri,
The affected unit has the conversion exit CUNIT. The loaded value does not correspond to the name of the unit in the logon language.
The conversion exit reads from the T006A table with the logon language from SPRAS and the loaded value from MSEH3. If there is no entry there for the logon language, an error occurs in the conversion exit. You can maintain entries in this table in the Customizing: Transaction SPRO->SAP reference IMG->BW Customizing Implementation Guide->General Settings ->Measurement units. Select the measurement units here using the relevant button.

Let me tell you what i did to fix the problem .
I am using SAP BW 3.1
~~~~~~~~
CUST003,SREP03,MAT003,5,CS,4,,20000101
CUST004,SREP04,MAT004,50,EA,5,,19991023
CUST007,SREP07,MAT008,3,DZ,10,,20000901
CUST008,SREP08,MAT010,1,LB,4,,19991104
~~~~~~~~~
Here is the sample data from the actual flat file,
Step 1 > Type the transaction Code, CUNI
Step 2 > Click on "Units of Measurement" -- You get a Table displayed
Look for CS,EA,DZ,LB under Units field
If you have only one or two of the above 4 fields, you need to add the remaining ( In my case, DZ and CS were missing)
Step 3 > Type the transaction Code , CUNI again
Step 4 > Click on ISO codes and look for the missing values
see if you can find any thing you were not able to find previously in this table
( In my case i found DZN -- DOZEN and CS -- Case listed here )
Step 5> Go back to " Units of Measurement" and hit F7 to create a new record
Int.Meas.Unit --> CS
Commercial -
> CS
Technical -
> CS
Measurement Unit text --> Case
ISO Code ---> CS
Hit save button
Step 6 > Repeat step 5 for DZN -- Dozen
( I used DZN inspite of DZ being used in the text book b'coz
it was already in my ISO codes .. I also made changes to the CSV file
accordingly changing DZ to DZN)
Step 7 > I loaded the flat file and HURRAY.. No error this time
This is my 4 th day of my SAP BW Self study,
I know that the above guide is not technical
But if it solves some body having a same problem ..
My effort in putting this down has not gone in vain..
Thanks Y'all
