While trying to create a Special Request (Describe Requirement) shopping cart I am receiving the error "Purchasing group for follow-on document missing". Any ideas on how to resolve this? We are running SRM 7.0 on Classic Scenario. We are connected to a backend system that is on R/3 4.7. Here is the error message screenshot:
Hi Jeffrey,

Hi,
Step 1 - Go to PPOMA_BBP or PPOSA_BBP transaction code
Step 2 - Check whether the Purchase group is maintained under Purchase organization node in Org structure
Step -3 Check the function tab, whether purchasing group check box is ticked
Step 4- Check Responsibility tab for Product cat and correct logical system maintained as well as organizational responsibility tab is maintained with correct Object id.
Step 5- Also check that Extended attributes are maintained with correct product id.
Step 6- if all these are correctly maintained then check at the ERP side whehter this purchase group exists under SPRO node.

Hi, Check if the Purch Grp has been maintained with the Prod Cat under the responsibility Tab and also check the organizational responsibility.
Also check the users_gen for that user or org unit.(if HR org structure is replicated)

Hello,
Please verify the
1) SPRO -->Technical Basic Settings--> Define Backend system for product category.
2) PPOMA_BBP-->Product Category and the Org.id in the Purchase Group-->Organizational responsibility whether this is correct where the user exist.
Thanks,

Hi
Please check the follow things
1. Define backend system settings.- Logical system settings
2. Define backend product category settings
3. In the Org Structre - under "Functions" tab choose correct Purchase Group and correct logical system.
4. Also you can check in ECC system whether purchase group you are selecting in SRM is defined at Backend.
Hope this resolves the problem

Hi,
Can you check whether you have set flag as 'Local' for SRM system.
Path: SPRO-> SRM Server-> Technical Basic Settings-> Define Backend Systems
As well, check organization structure; whether mentioned product category is assigned in responsibility tab of required purchase org.
