Dashboard (SAP BO 4.0) Error #2032

Former Member

I'm trying to use BEx Query in Dashboard (SAP BO 4.0) version 6.0.0.0 build 14,0,2,364. I am able to connect to SAP BW using BICS but when I try to connect to a BEx Query, I receive error #2032.

We have following configuration

o   Xcelsius 6.0.0.0 build 14,0,2,364

o   SAP BW  7.3 SP 5

o   IE 8.0.7601.17514

I have tried following changes as suggested in various answers on SDN

·         1) Adobe Global Security Settings changes

·         2) Made entries in windows host file and

·         3) Added SAP server as trusted site in IE

But none of these helped. Has someone an idea why this error occurring for this configuration, and how to solve it?

Hi Folks,

My recommendation is:

>>- Verify on CMC > Applications > WEB Service, if you use the IP on  URL Access : http://XXX.XX.XX.XX/dswsbobje

After this step if your issue was not solved follow the steps about the crossdomain.

See note: 1201632 - How to configure cross-domain data loading for Xcelsius SWF Dashboards

Can you do the basic BW login from the SAP toolbar?

There could be many reasons for this issue. If I were you, I would check

1. ...\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\ROOT folder and see if there is crossdomain.xml file. If there is not, create one or download it

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/articles/crossdomain_policy_file_spec.html

2. In CMC go to Applications > Web Services  right click on Properties change the name there to IP address.

3. Check if you can reach the web service in your network with domain name and IP address.

Hi Gourav,

Kindly refer SAP Note 1484847 and verify again if all the add ons are on the supported versions.

Also it mentions some testing steps that you can implement to find out the root cause.

I hope this helps.

Hi Nakul,

Thanks for this input. After going through it I found that SAP Note 1484847 provides details for Xcelsius 2008. However I am using Xcelsius / Dashboard 6.0.0.0 build 14,0,2,364 part of SAP BO 4.0. Any thoughts on this.

Hi Gourav,

You could verify the supported versions from the PAM or the supported platfrom guide of Dashboard Design 4.0 at http://service.sap.com.

If all the add ons are on the supported version than you could go ahead with testing points mentioned in SAP Note 1484847.

Hi Gourav,

Just Try this

1. Try to preview the sample dashboards.

2. Try to login into SAP BW.

3. Try to execute the BEx query from Query Designer

4. Execute the BEx query in Enterprise Portal

5. DO you have access to Enterprise Portal

Let us know your answers.

Hi Gourav,

If you have checked the SAP NOTE # 1484847  as its applies to BI 4.0 as well.

Then its more over a basis job, please have your basis guys to check the

937697 Usage of SAP NetWeaver BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tool

there must be some red signals, rectify those and let me know if error persist.

it would be helpful if you give me the fiddle logs after reproducing the issue.

Thanks,

Sapanesh
