I've been chasing an answer on this for over a month now - nobody from SAP I've talked to seems to have a clue!
I've spoken to various call center support technicians who could not help - the last one suggested posting here.
.
I am looking at developing a web site for a client, part of which will involve producing reports from a web server for multiple web users within his company / companies - I know I can use Microsoft SQL Server reporting services to do this free of charge, but I have a preference for using crystal reports (which I consider superior) if at all possible.
Obviously I need to know whether there are licence / cost implications regarding doing this using SAP Crystal Reports - if these are prohibitive I will obviously revert to the free Microsoft model. Any information anyone could give me would be very useful.
Thanks

Hello Richard
The resources supplied by Bhushan are certainly something to look at. In a nut shell:
For Crystal Reports, the runtime is free for Win apps. For Web apps, it is also free, if it will be an intra-web site (e.g.; used internal to the company only). If the Web app will be deployed to 3rd party sites (e.g.; sold outside the organization), then you do need a server license. To obtain a server license or if you still have licensing questions, please call sales; 866-681-3435 or see the following link:
