We are trying to upgrade HANA and found out that we are not able to authenticate using the <sid>adm password we have. If we have to change the password, can it be simply chaged on Linux or do we need to update the password in some configurations after the change?
Hi there,
you can simply change the os-user password here.
If you've stored the sap<sid> password anywhere, e.h. HANA studio you'll have to manually change these as well - but that should be obvious.

Lars

We just changed it on Unix and it worked well. SAP suport also suggested the same. The credentials do not need to be updated anywhere else.
