Hi Experts.
I have a fresh local install of SUP Server 2.1 on Windows 7 (64-bit). The install ran smoothly using all defaults except for automatic start of services.
I use the desktop icon named "Start Sybase Unwired Platform Services" (run as administrator) to start the services. From the Windows Control Panel, I can see services running for
Advantage Database Server, Sybase Control Center, Sybase Unwired CacheDB, Sybase Unwired SampleDB, and Sybase Unwired Server.
I open SCC using the desktop icon and login to supAdmin .Sybase Control Center always shows the following error
"Failed to connect to Unwired Server. Ensure the server is running."
I need help solving the problem.
Regards,
Jitendra
Hi,
i got the same Problem, but my Test License of 30 Days was over today. I have tried to install the SUP new with the Fixing Typs from you, but it doesn´t work.

Hi all,
we are facing exactly the same problems but not immediately after the installation. We are running the SUP 2.1 Runtime on a single, non-clustered Windows 2008 R2 Server (64bit) with a EE-DT License and we have set up the Runtime on a Win7 Enterprise 64bit system with an evaluation version.
It does not help rebooting or even re-installing the SUP on the server and/or the local machine.
It's a really strange problem as the Win7 was running great this morning and after a couple hours of stand-by the SCC came up with this error message.

hello i encoured same error
fixed by doing these ;
- while installing the SUP , i click "configure cluster" (or similar name) then i set the computer name. If i set it as localhost, i was getting same error,
- changed ports (because SAP was using same ports and i changed some ports while installing SUP )
is it Enterprise and CPU license ?

hello,
if there is no sap instance or IIS on your machine no need to change ports.
well, the problem was cluster config on my server.
while installing if i pres next next without configuring cluster, it was setting the servername as LOCALHOST
but when i set it as my computer name, problem solved and server started correctly.
May be you have other problems
