Setting up BPF e-mail notifications in BPC ver.10.0 for NW

Hi Gurus,

We want to use BPF e-mail notifications in BPC ver.10.0 for NW.

However I couldn't find the documataion about it except for that for BPC ver. 7.5.

http://scn.sap.com/people/jeffrey.holdeman/blog/2010/06/18/how-to-setup-business-process-flow-e-mail...

I wonder whether the way to set up for ver.10.0 is same as ver.7.5.

Do I need to do all of the steps described in the documentation above?

Please share your knowledge.

Hi Takashi,

You can use the following information to set up e-mail notification in absence of document.

Email notification is used to notify the owners when:
1. BPF instance is created and actions are taken
2. Instance is completed and ready to be finalized
3. Reviewers are notified by e-mail when a step rgion is ready for review.

E-mail set-up:
1. Execute t-code SE80 in BW system.
2. Choose package in the left navigation pane, then enter the package name UJB_MAINTAIN_EMAIL_TMPL
3. Click F8. It opens BPC:BPF Email template table overview.
4. To see the detail of each template, double click a template.
5. Set e-mail body of template either smart form body or email body.
6. To activate/de-activate the email notification, click on the icon (pencil/display) to edit. The email template list appears in edit mode.
7. Change the value in column is Active to yer or no to activate/de-activate.

You can manage email notification template using smart form body in t-code SMARTFORMS in BW

system.

Ashwin.

Hi Ashwin,

Thanks for your advice.

I realize that the step you explain above is necessary in addition to those described in the blog I showed in previous message.

I wonder whether I have to maintenance AppSet parameters described by the blog at B)From the SAP BPC Web Administration landing page.

I don't know where I should maintenance it.

Thanks in advence,

Takashi Ito.

Hi Takashi,

I guess you do not have to maintain the appset parameter as described in the blog in BPC10. Once the instance is completed with due rights to the owners and reviewers, you can go for configuration of e-mail notification.

However, I am not sure on this point.

Ashwin.

Thanks so much kulkarni

Maybe the point most important is "6. To activate/de-activate the email notification, click on the icon (pencil/display) to edit. The email template list appears in edit mode."

And configure the mail user in the user definition SU01 transaction
