Hello Dashboarders

We are sorry to report dashboard BI4SP04 Error #2032 with BEX connection on BI4 SP04 as the 2032 error seems to be a stubborn and crptic error.  It has our development stopped and so I would greatly appreciate any help from those that have overcome this.

When adding a SAP NetWeaver BW Connection to a BEX query (BICS) we
receive pop up message Error #2032. This occurs after logging into the
BW saplogon and selecting the BEX query which is enabled for external
data access.

Platform: BI4 SP04 to BW 7.3 Ehp1 SP04 on AIX 6.1

Reviewed 1484847 - "Error #2032" while trying to import BEx query through SAP Netweaver BW connection

and 1408384 - Error 2032 - Web Service is not available
We tested the wbservice navigator for getWebServiceVersion
Result= BI09 1.59

Adobe Flash 11.3.300.265
Sapgui 7.20 Patch 7

Steps for Reconstruction

Open Dasboard designer, add connection, select Netweaver BW, logon to
BW, select query

Error #2032 is displayed

Make sure you have your BI Java(portal) running fine.

Also both the server(BO) and frontend must be at the same SP4 level.

Try to user "query browser" instead of "SAP NetWeaver BW Connection"

Hi Marcelo,

Sorry I left this unanswered.  We no longer have the #2032 error, but what specifically fixed it I can't answer other than the earlier advice to make sure the BI diag tool reports green and there are absolutely no errors

http://portalserver:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/HtmlbEvent/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.suppo...

This required us to upgrade to 7.3 Ehp1 and we are now on support stack 4 and then of course we also upgraded to BI 4 SP04 and now are on patch 2.

Let me know if I can help further!

  1. In toolbar of the Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer, choose Tools -> Internet Options. The Internet Options window appears.
  2. In the Settings section of the Advanced tab, navigate to the Security list, and deselect the checkbox Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
  3. Save your change.
