Enhancement pack to SAP Basis version

Hi,

I would like to know EHP is linked to what version of SAP Basis release.  When you install EHP6 you see Basis Version 7.31.

Please let me know for following:

     ECC EHP1 - SAP Basis Release: ?

     ECC EHP2 - SAP Basis Release: ?

     ECC EHP3 - SAP Basis Release: ?

     ECC EHP4 - SAP Basis Release: ?

     ECC EHP5 - SAP Basis Release: ?

Kindly find the required information below :

     ECC EHP1 - SAP Basis Release: 700

     ECC EHP2 - SAP Basis Release: 700

     ECC EHP3 - SAP Basis Release: 700

     ECC EHP4 - SAP Basis Release: 701

     ECC EHP5 - SAP Basis Release: 702

     ECC EHP6 - SAP Basis Release: 731

You can also check the same from the PAM (product availability matrix). Please follow the below steps :

Go to http://service.sap.com/pam

  --> Search for term 'EHPx for SAP ERP 6.0'    (where x = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

Hello Dinesh,

Now the structure of the PAM is a little bit different than before. So I will tell you the generic steps :

1. First find out the Netweaver Release on which the ERP (or CRM, SCM, ....) system is based on.

     You can easily get this information from the SAP notes or the Upgrade guides.

For ERP case :

EHP1 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on SAP Netweaver 7.0

EHP2 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on SAP Netweaver 7.0

EHP3 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on SAP Netweaver 7.0

EHP4 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.0

EHP5 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on EHP2 for SAP Netweaver 7.0

EHP6 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on EHP3 for SAP Netweaver 7.0

Note : SAP_BASIS is part of the Netweaver Stack. So SAP_BASIS release depends on the Netweaver Stack.

2. Now You have the information about the Netweaver Release, you can search in the PAM for the

     SAP_BASIS Release.

Go to http://service.sap.com/PAM

  --> Now there you can see a search box. Lets Assume you want to check the SAP_BASIS release of the EHP6 for ERP 6.0 . Since it is based on the EHP3 for SAP Netweaver 7.0 , please search for the term 'EHP3 for SAP Netweaver 7.0'

Here you can find the SAP_BASIS release.

Could you please tell me what is the difference betwen

EHP4 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.0  and we have SAP Netweaver 7.3?

Do we really need that based on netweaver version for installing ECC6.0 EHP 4 or 6 ..?

But wat r the advantages we get using the above.?

     EHP4 for ERP 6.0  --> Based on EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.0 mean theinstallation of Dual stack or a single stack ABAp syetm?

Could you please help me in c;earing the above doubts
