Hi All,
I'm a newbie in Basis, recently I'm importing support package SAPKB73101 in SPAM to implement SP4 in EHP6 ERP 6.0.
I have run the job in the background process. Then when I try to login again to the system, there is an error in the logon screen.
SAP System Message "Syntax error in program SAPLSTRD".
Please wait until the support package is completely imported.
Check using dpmon the status of the running job.
Login as <sid>adm
Execute
# dpmon pf=<instance_profile>
select m.
Select l

Hi Ratnajit,
Thanks for the reply, the error occur when I login into the system (using <sid>adm)
Since I couldnt login to the SAP system, so I couldnt check the status of the job or run any transc.
The jobs has start since last week and I only import 1 package SAPKB73101.
Thanks & Regards

Same issue with the sama package, same fix! Excellent!
In my case I was updgrading FICA-600 and IS-UT 600 to 606 versions to be used as Convergent Invoicing for Telco in a Linux 5 system with Oracle. I calculated the XML stack with SOLMAN and apply it with SAINT.
I'm able to re-open the GUI and proceed with SAINT!
Cheers guys! Raúl.
By the way, right after fixing this, I came across with another error (Syntax error in program "SAPLSUU1") fixed with this: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3226215
Same problem here with the same package.. I will wait until today and then i will try your solution.

Dear Dennise,
hope your issue is resolved, I found the convenient way to resolve this...
Start the SPAM in front end it will ask you to apply a prerequisite note :- 0001680583 Field names for tables and views with more than 16 char....
once the note is applied repeat the SPAM it will work...
If your not able to login to system itself... restore the last back up and repeat the SPAM
again....
Hope this will help some one to get the issue resolved
Regards
