Hi Adriano,

We run into the same "document's serialization version is too recent" issue in ways very similar to your case:

We

install BO 4.1 SP1 full installation.

install BO 4.1 SP 3 patch

uninstall BO 4.1 SP 3 patch

install BO 4.1 SP 4 patch

How did you eventaully resolve your issue?

Thanks,

Steven

Hello Adriano,

Please make sure that the targeted repository doesn't have a lower version than the report.

Article: 1269405 - Error: ‘The document's serialization version is too recent’ (Error: WIS 30915) in Web Intelligence Rich Client

Hi,

thanks for the answer.

The article 1269405 it's related to bo 3.1.

I get that it's possible to have the same problem in 4.0 but as you can see in my reply to Vivek

my systems are aligned.

...any other idea?

Thank you

Hi,

Does the issue occur for only one report?

If yes, is that report created in the current version?

Does the issue occur for new reprots?

Hi Adriano

be sure to have both client and server on the same patch level. it looks like you installed the patch on the server but not in the client.

If you are using the Java Report Panel, be sure to go to the control panel / java, delete all java temporary files including the applets, this will force the download of the new version of the JRP.

So far all the occurrences we have faced were due to this reason.

If the problem persists please open a CSS message for us to investigate.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

actually as you can see in the image in the previous post client and server are on the same patch level

(first 2 rows of the image).
I already tried cleaning my java cache (even the hidden one used by the rich client).

I will try to fix installing patch 3 realesed on 31.08.

I'll let you know

thank you and best regards

Hi Simone,

Must client and server be on the same patch level or same version is enough?

Thanks and regards,

Hello Adriano,

Can you please check the latest patch on both server side and client side from "Add and Remove Program"?

This issue generally happens due to different versions.

If you can add a screenshot of your "Add and Remove Program" that can help a bit.

Thanks,

Vivek

You mentioned that you un-installed SP1 from your system.

Did you did this after SP4 upgrade?

Thanks,

Vivek
