Dear Friends,

We are doing oracle upgrade from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3 on windows 20008

We have applied required below generic patch successfully sing opatch,

p12325243_112030_Generic.zip

p13508485_112030_Generic.zip

p13575265_112030_Generic.zip

p13580513_112030_Generic.zip

p9584028_112030_Generic.zip

p13834436_112030_Generic.zip

But we are facing issue while applying below patch

11203_Patch08_MSWIN-x86-64.zip

Log file location: C:\oracle\FNP\11203\cfgtoollogs\opatch\14223718_Oct_07_2012_0

1_45_50\apply2012-10-07_01-45-50AM_1.log

Recommended actions: OPatch needs to modify files which are being used by some p

rocesses.

OPatch failed with error code = 41

We restarted the server all the services are shutdown i double checked still same issue.

Also i would like to know what the difference between the generic patch and

11203_Patch08_MSWIN-x86-64.zip   DO I HAVE TO APPLY THIS??

Kindly help to solve the issue.

Thanks

Tabrayz

Hi Tabrayz,

You can find the file handle and identify the process at the OS level, by using process explorer. Please check the document, below;

Yes, you can download and execute the program, safely. Then, search for the filename and find the process that holding the handle of the file(s). After that you can decide whether you kill the process or not.
