Update BOM Changes in Planned order and production order

Dear Experts,

How to update the changes made in BOM to the firme planned order? Also when we convert these firm planned orders into productin orders, it copy the components which are assined to planned orders; we want the updated BOM should get exploded while converting the planned order (firm and non firm) to production order. Please help.

Hi,

It is quite normal that after Planned Order is created, BOM is changed and you need to re-explode the BOM while you convert the Planned Order to Process Order

Thanks for the reply. The OSS note is solving our issue in prodctin order. But is there any way to read the updated BOM in firm planned order?

Hi,

Yes there is.... In Planned Orders there is an ICON (the Red coloured Icon of Components) to Explode the BOM (Press F8)

This will re-explode the BOM in Planned Orders

Hi,

Explosion of BOM in Planned Order in Mass Mode is not possible not even by COHV. You can however Select the range of Planned Orders by t/code COHV or by MDVP (Collective Availability Check).

You can execute MDAC with New Action as BOME but that is for a single Planned Order at a time

Dear,

In that case use FM PLANNED_ORDER_CHANGE or CY01_PLANNED_ORDERS_MODIFY to update the BOM in firmed planned orders.

Or you can delete exiting order and regenerate with MRP run.

Hi,

Do read PP master data in production order for updating BOM and routing. You can find it in function menu.

And in firm planned order once you convert them into production order automatically updated BOM will be considered.
