Installation Error - 110.36.44.99:3934: connect (239: Connection refused) [nixxi.cpp 3269]

Hi All,

I am installing SAP Netweaver 7.3, in HA mode.

ASCS and DB are on HP-UNIX and CI is on LINUX.

During ASCS installation I am getting error:

[Thr 02] ***LOG Q0I=> NiPConnect2: 110.36.44.99:3934: connect (239: Connection refused) [nixxi.cpp 3269]

[Thr 02] *** ERROR => NiPConnect2: SiPeekPendConn failed for hdl 2/sock 39

(SI_ECONN_REFUSE/239; I4; ST; 10.36.44.97:3934) [nixxi.cpp 3269]

[Thr 02] *** ERROR => MsIAttachEx: NiBufConnect to dbciBSD/3934 failed (rc=NIECONN_REFUSED) [msxxi_mt.c   713]

I checked in Services file We have all ports entry, Not sure what to do to resolve this error.

Please suggest.

Hi Shivam,

Your error points to connection not established with Database central instance.

[Thr 02] *** ERROR => MsIAttachEx: NiBufConnect to dbciBSD/3934 failed (rc=NIECONN_REFUSED) [msxxi_mt.c   713]

Is your database installed, up and running? Please check and also check whether listener is running or not?

Mostly, such problems are related with either listener or network related issues.

Just a thought, have you maintained entries in hostfile of ASCS, CI and DB host on all systems vice versa ?

Check whether the 3934 port has been allocated by another application.
