I am experiencing issue while configuring Solution Manager, i am in system preparation process step 6.3 experiencing below issue. Any suggestions / Solutions?
SOAP:1,007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
Web service invocation problem on host sapxx001.xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx and port 8012 protocol : http logical port name : LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING

Frequent user locks SM_EXTERN_WS and J2EE_ADMIN | SCN
further if this doesn't resolve ur issue. kindly open a new thread with error screenshots

I had the same issue.
In my case, there was something wrong in the authorization profile in the roles of client 100 (My productive client).
To correct this:
- I overwrote all users and profile using Client 001 as source
SCCL (select profile sap_user)
In Client 100 (solman_setup)
- I redid the step to create the users in Step 1 (sm_intern_ws)
- I redid the step to re-create the ports
It resolved the RC-401 error and every ping worked afterward

Concerning to error message:
Unexpected error: Web service invocation problem on host
The issue could be due to access denied to webservice on java stack
solman the user SM_INTERN_WS is not administrators (UME group)
check/add the user SM_INTERN_WS into UME group.
Could you check/put
also the user SMD_ADMIN into the ume groups administrators
to avoid the agent connection problems.

Did you check if the above user are locked?
Also, please check the webservice as follows:
1) Go to SOAMANAGER,
2) Select Web Service Configuration
3) Search by 'Consumer Proxy' CO_DIAGSTP_WS_AGT_SMDAGENT_MON
4) Click on 'Apply Selection'
In the tab 'Configurations" you try to use the button 'Ping Web Service'
to test the connection.
Also, enter in the Edit mode and check the "Computer Name of Access
URL" and port ensure that these informations are correct.
The error message shows that the root cause is an authorization issue.
