Hi,

Could you please check whether the file system path specified has full access. If not provide 777 access to the file path and retry the backup.

Hi Sandeep,

It looks like OS/Hardware problem. Get it checked with the vendor.

For details refer link http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IZ48399

Thanks for the link.

However, the related issue seems to be fixed with 9.5 FP5 and we are 9.7 FP4.

Also, we checked with Linux/Disk support team and they say no issue could be found.

We are having issues with these services as mentioned in db2diag.log file.

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, oper system services, sqloReadVLow, probe:100

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, buffer pool services, sqlbServiceDirectReadVRequest, probe:6778

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, buffer pool services, sqlbpfParallelDirectReadV, probe:5225

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, database utilities, sqlubReadDMS, probe:309

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, database utilities, sqlubReadDMS, probe:312

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, database utilities, sqlubReadDMS, probe:312

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, oper system services, sqloReadVLow, probe:100

However, In the related link, i am seeing DB2 service - sqloflock.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Sandeep,

As per the link below I still feel you should apply latest fix packs for 9.7 db2 database to resolve most of the issues related to I/Os.
