Consuming Portal Data using API / Webservice in SAP UI5

Dear Experts,

Is there a method of consuming Portal UME , UWL data etc using Some API / Webservice on SAP UI5.

Please let me know if this is possible. If not possible then what is the recommended approach to consume this data on SAP UI5.

Hi Zeeshan,

SAPUI5 is a javascript library that runs in the client side, i.e., in the browser. In SAPUI5 the better approach to consume data is to use oData, but to use it you need a service that support the oData protocol.

Thanks for the reply. Kindly let me know if there are services which could be consumed in odata format for the following scenarios in Portal.

1. UWL data

2. BPM Tasks

3. UME data

Hi Zeeshan,

Sorry, but the only oData provider I know is the SAP Netweaver Gateway. Perhaps in the portal's forum you can get help about this.
