Hi Raghu,

What version of Crystal Reports and BO Enterprise are you using?

Try to open the report in the designer and go to File > Page Setup > Check the "No Printer" option and save the report back to the Enterprise.

Hi Abhilash,

We are using BO 4.0 and CR 2011 version.

I dont have access to open the report. Our users are executing the reports.

Is there any thing we need to check from administration part.

Hi Raghu,

Does this happen with just this particular report or are there any more?

If you can ask your developer to check the "No Printer" option and save it back that would be great.

Otherwise, try installing the Printer Driver (Same driver used on the developer's machine to create the report) on the Server and see if that helps.

Hi Abhilash,

Thanks for the quick reply. Two days back we have upgraded the BO from 3.1 to 4.0.

We were having a sucessfully print in the old version. Now user is comming up with the below questions. Could you pelase help me

1. Currently if you run a report with Print Parameters already in from the previous version of Crystal the report fails and errors with “no default printer” message as "Error in file  ~XXXX.rpt: No default Printer"

2. Are Printers setup on the server and available to Crystal Reports

3. When you then try to put in a Printer you are unable to as it is a drop down box and it wont let you type in to the field.

Hi Raghu,

The screenshot clearly suggests that the BO Server does not have a printer attached to it.

Please install the right printer driver.

Our network team has configred the printers at OS level.

And we have configured in

CMC --> Applications --> Crystal Report Configuration --> Printers list.

Now the report works fine for me.

Thanks

Raghu
