Hi Gurus,

We have distributed environment for BI ABAP & BI JAVA systems with NW 7.02 & while setting up the connection from ABAP to JAVA currently having an issue while registering the communication program b/w BI JAVA & BI ABAP system. The Jco RFC has been created at Visual Admin & is working fine but the RFC is not working on the ABAP side. While checking the logs on Java system there are dev_jrfc logs which complaining about the program not registered. Could you please provide any solution for this so that program can be registered on the Java system. We are having this issue on the distributed environment where database is on different host & ABAP & JAVA are on different host. Below are the logs from dev_jrfc file (D:\usr\sap\SID\JC01\j2ee\cluster\server0). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello

Is the RFC created in the ABAP stack with the option "Registered Server Program" and with the Gateway entries ?

Is the Program ID same on both systems ?

Is the Jco RFC started in the Visual Admin ?

Cheers

Hi Reagan,

Yes, the RFC in ABAP stack pointed to "Registered Server Program" & gateway entries are also created.

Program ID is same on both systems.

Yes, JCo RFC is also started & running fine.

There are dev_jrfc.. logs generating every minute into server0 which complaining that program has not been registered.

Thanks for posting the solution to your own problem. I've just hit the same problem and you've saved me a lot of work!

You should mark this as the correct answer so people searching can see there's a solution.

Hi Steve,

However this is a temporary solution, In productive environment you should generate sec_info & reg_info files to provide the access to the external programs. Please refer sap note 1425765 mentioned by Yong Luo above.

Thanks & regards

Thanks. I'm not sure our external system has the ability to do this, but I'm looking into it!

Steve.
