Globally setting the bi launchpad properties

Hi

How to set the Web Intelligence preferences like View, Modify etc in the BI launchpad globally for all users  and also how to deny access to it , so that end user does not change it ?

Please help me...

The KBA 1698626 - BI 4.0: Why has the 'Preferences' tab in BI Launchpad disappeared for everyone? shows the right to hide BI LaunchPad preferences for all users.

You can also have a look at the new functionality in BI 4.1 that gives an administrator more control over the Webi user interface in determining which components a user can view and access.

• You can hide the design and data buttons
• You can hide the save button

Hi Sandeep,

You can set advanced preferences like Webi preferences globally using a script which is attached in following KB article which was suggested by Mani.
