creating bpc cubes multiple times instead of overwriting

Hi

When i am modifying a model in bpc 10 , it is creating a new infocube in BI with new technical name instead of overwriting it. with new technical name. If I modify ten times it is also creating 10 cubes with new technical names. Could you please help me to resolve this.

Hi Mahesh,

If your changing the technical name of Model then yes it creates new cube in BI system as many times as you change but if your changing the strucrure like changing the dimensions in model it wont create the new cube in BI system.

If its changing the name please have a look in to the SPRO settings-->SAP Refrence IMG-->Planning and Consolidation-->Application parameters.

Thanks for your reply. I am just modifying a model by adding/removing a dimension from it. Once i save it is generating one more infocube with new technical name.  What application parameter i need to set here.

Please set the parameter ENABLE_FIXED_CUBENAME .
