Unable to import certificate

Hello,

I had two sytems : SAP ECC6 EhP4 and SAP Netweaver Portal 7.01

I have upgraded both : ECC6 EhP4 to EhP6 SPS8 and Portal 7.01 to 7.31 SPS8.

Now, I would like to export/import certificates.

No problem to export backend certificate and to import it in Portal side.

But, after exporting SAPLogonTicket-cert from my Portal, I would like to import it into SAP ECC.

In STRUSTSSO2, I have System PSE.

Then, when launching menu : Certificate -> Import certificate, a window appears but in this window, no choice about File Format. I only have File path.

So, when filling File path, then I validate but an error message appears : Cannot analyze certificate.

For information, I tried with both binary and Bas64 file.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I encountered the same problem. In my case, I tried to import the certificate request and not the certificate response when installing an SSL certificate.

My guess would be that you created/exported a certificate request and not the (public) certificate itself into the ABAP stack.

Andreas

Hi Durecu,

Please take care of three points while generating certificate in visual admin.

1. When you generate certificate please check on the box "store certificate " as mentioned in below screenshot.

2.In algorithm please select DSA.

3.Please provide key length as same in your older certificate or by default you can give key length as   512.

Then click on generate certificate  and keep it in desired path and then import it from strustsso2.

It should resolve your problem.

Please find below screenshot.

Hi experts,

I found the solution for my problem.

My SAPCRYPTOLIB toolkit was too old.

I have installed PL36 and now it works.

Thanks for your answers.
