Import Error

Hello gurus ,

   Our Env is

OS : Sun solaris Sparc 64 bit

  DB : Oracle 10 g

SAP : ECC 6 EHP 3

  We were trying to upgrade EHP 3 to EHP 6. We are taking the export of our PRD system , which later we want to import in DEV system.

But while taking the export of PRD we are getting following error as shown in below. But its look strange as the error is pointing to OracleClient 11 but we never used ORA 11 in our landscape.

please find the error message :

I faced and SOLVED this issue

MAIN_SHDINST/SHDALIASCRE/ EU_CLONE_CRE_SHDVIEWS.

R3ldctl error 2

2 Things you must do.

1. Look a the ALOG and you will find the CDSVIEWFIX.TQL wasn't found.

   * Download it from SAP Note 1902974

    The File must uncar to your  /SUM/abap/var directory. You must find it there.

  *  You don't have to run it manually, the 7.40 SP7 will look for it automatically.

2.  Check both /sapmnt/SID/exe and  /SUM/abap/exe    R3ldctl

Mine was bad.  It comes from the Oracle Part of the Kernel.

You should be able to see from R3ldctl  output as it runs. A corrupt version will just give a RC=2 and error out.

Hello Vish,

Please check the profiles in the /usr/sap/<sid>/SYS/profile/ directory. Is there any profile that the driver parameter is pointing to 'oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient/ojdbc14.jar' or any other directory?

Is that possible to attach here your profiles, sapinst_dev.log and control.xml files for further analysis?

Swtich to the 'Advanced Editor' to upload the files.

It looks like sapinst or the SWPM you are using is compatible or needs the Oracle 11G instant client.

Why don't you create a symbolic link and check whether it helps ?

ln -s /oracle/client/10x_64 /oracle/client/11x_64

check ed the same but still the same issue. But the same SWPM tool is working Dev Enviroment ......if its the matter of compatibility

Hello

Did you restart the sapinst after that ?

Also if the SWPM is working on the development environment then check the runtime Java used there.

If the Java is different then try with the JRE which is working.

Have you stopped database also ?

For export only SAP(not DB) should be stopped. also listener should be running.

is the listener running ?

is this a abap+java system or only abap ?  (this seems to be a dual stack system and you are running export for abap only)

also just to double check go sqlplus and run

select INSTANCE_NAME,STATUS from v$instance;

just ot add, do you use virtual names ? if yes then are you running sapinst like below

sapinst sapinst sapinst_use_hostname=<ci_host>
