Dear Colleagues,
I am performing a homogeneous system copy of Solution Manager 7.1 SR1 on Windows Server 2008R2 and MSSQL 2008R2.
Source and Target Box have the same OS and DB version.
Now in the target system at phase START Instance ,I am getting error
The DISP+WORK.exe is getting stopped.
Attaching the dev_disp.log ,sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log for your reference.
Note : The copy was performed with Media 70SWPM.sar
With user <sid>adm, the R3trans -x works fine.
This is TRACE level 2.

Hello
*** Error 11 while initializing OS dependent part.
*** ERROR => <EsNT> CreateFileMapping name=Global\ES_SEG_02_012 ,size=2044 MB, error=1455 [esnti.c 1276]
1518419 - Page file and virtual memory required by the SAP system
1790345 - PXA_NO_SHARED_MEMORY
First restart Windows and then try to start the SAP system from the MMC.
If that doesn't help then increase the pagefile size and restart the Windows.
Regards

I got this same "Error 11 while initializing OS dependent part" problem when doing a Homogeneous system copy of a SolMan 7.1 SP14.
I fix this by shutting down SAP instances and MsSQL DB, that free memory. Then I've been able to start SAP with MMC et restart SAPinst

In my case I was doing an SP update on a Solution Manager 7.1 and also had the error message:
"ERROR => <EsNT> CreateFileMapping name=Global\ES_SEG_04_004 ,size=2044 MB, error=1455" -> The shadow instance did not come up.
Solution was: Adding another Pagefile with 20 GB on another drive. I did not have to reboot the OS.

How much memory you have on the server . Please check em/initial_size_MB parameter and try to reduce the memory configured for the application and see if it starts.
Thanks
