SAP Specify Cluster system Parameters - First Cluster Node( Last error reported by the step: Windows system error message: 5057)

Dear All,

I am installation SAP ERP EHP6 ABAP MSSQL with Highavailblity. I am stuck in the below step can any help me on this..?

1. What should be the network name..?

    a. I tried giving WINCLUST1 ( NODE 1 HOST NAME ) it throughs an error

    b. Secondly i tried giving domain hostname ( sap.in ) it works fine, then I faced the below error.

    First Cluster Node( Last error reported by the step: Windows system error message: 5057) - The cluster IP address is already in use.

Hello,

Here the Network name would be Virtual Hostname that you will create in Microsoft Failover Cluster for SAP Group.

Have you already configured this in failover cluster? If yes, please don't do anything in cluster. Let sapinst do that. Make sure that IP address that is getting used for this virtual hostname should not be used.

As per your suggestion I have removed the sap-grp cluster. And I am facing the below error.

Please do let me know if am going some where wrong.

Below is my Cluster Config

4 Ip's - 2 Private 2 Public

1 Cluster IP

1 SAP - DB IP

You should read installation guide as cluster has lot of complexity. This hostname will not be resolved if you have not assigned IP to it either in your DNS or host file of your system.
