Hello Experts,

I am following the tutorial Agentry Essential Study and deploying the Northwind Mobile app. I can load the Customers successfully at the first time with any login user name and password. Then when I click the transmit button to perform transmit action. It always show the error

DecryptPasswordError

Server error - please contact your administrator (13)

Login request failed.

I uninstall and reinstall the Agentry Test Environment many times  and run as Administrator but it doesnt work. always DecryptPasswordError.

Please help me. Thank you.

Hi,

Please do the following steps I guess It will resolve your issue of Decrypt Password Error.

1.     Reset the ATE/Client.

2.     Close the ATE/Client.

3.     Delete the following two folders from your system.

              SAP AG, SAP_AG (path :- C:\Users\Your User\AppData(Hidden)\Local)

4. Start the ATE/Client.

sorry for the late response. I resolve my issue. What i need to do is to start the Agentry Server as administrator and make communication unencrypted

It is not possible to run the server's connection to the client non-encrypted.

But starting the server as Admin, is what most likely solved the issue, if there was already an Server key and it was locked the Server could access the key when using Adminstrator.

Did you clear the client after you started the server?  I am asking this because the client could have an older encryption key that was removed when cleared the client so when you connected to the server it would get a fresh key from that server.

Now I figure out what happen.

If i change the port to 7003, It works. If I change it to 7004, or anything, the issue happened again. I can load the app successfully at first, but throw communication error (14) when I click transmit.

The problem is we cant have two agentry instances which listen on 7003. Is there any other ports that I can change it into? Please help me. Thank you very much.

Hi Ngu,

that depends on your infrastructure. Means on the Firewall Configuration. Normally I setted it (locally) from 7003 incrementally to 7004 and so forth. If you got an error you should check if the port 7004 is already in use by another application or blocked by the firewall.

The decrypt password error indicates that the Agentry server you are communicating with is not the same server that you previously loaded definitions from.

You indicated that you are running two development servers (this is absolutely supported if using different ports).  What appears to be happening is that within your definitions (Transmit Config or override file) for the one Agentry server it has a configuration setting telling your application to use the wrong port.  So after a successful initial transmit when you next try to transmit it is connecting to the port for the other Agentry sever on your machine and giving your the decrypt password error.

If the second server is not running you will just get an Error 14 since the server the client is trying to connect to (the second server) is not running.

To help further please connect from the ATE and post a copy of your Agentry.ini file from the ATE (not the server) and let us know what port you originally used to connect.

Hi,

Close the ate and login using the username and password.If not solved, reset the Agentry test environment.I have encountered the same error in Ipad, and resolved by closing the agentry application using task manager in the device which clears the old encryption keys.

Hello PH Ngu , As Resmi said please remove all files except Agentry Test Environment Uninstall.exe,AgentryTestEnvironment.exe,AgentryTrustedCertificates.sst,sqlapiu.dll and try to test , it should work then . Thanks & Regards, Kunal Varaiya

Hello,

Usually, this error is sent from the server to the client when the server is not able to read the information the client is sending to the server because of a different Server Encryption Key. This can be resolved by clearing out the client - i.e,Remove all files in the client folder except the following types: *.exe, .*sst, and *.dll and then retransmitting to the server.

Hello,

If you have any old client installed, please uninstall the old and reinstall the new one, so if any old keys that are stored will be deleted. If you still have the issue, please paste the logs here. Also verify the user have enough authorization?. Are you running the ATE - Run as administrator?.

So I hope you are not getting the Decrypt password error any more.

The communication error 14 may be tied to a time out issue cause by the amount of data being sync.

We can either increase time out or decrease the amount of data being downloaded for update. From Agentry.ini, by default 300 seconds, ie, 5 minutes, sometimes, it may require more that 5 minutes to execute the query, so need to adjust accordingly, eg: 3000. And also in the transmit configuration under editor, make sure the session settings are stay logged into server, Inactive timeout, adjust based on how long client needs to wait to process eg: 30 minutes. After the changes, restart the Agentry server, clear the client and transmit.

Is there any errors in events logs?.

No, there is no errors in the events log. I change the setting in Agentry.ini and in Transmit configuration but error still remains

And i dont know exactly what happen to the configuration because there is no error in the log at all.

Note: I run 2 agentry dev servers at the same time and both of them have the same error 14
