Hi Gurus,

A humble request to look into the same.

Below are few screens for you further analysis.

In live cache database we checked the user type (DBM & SAP) and got the below error

We are currently able to login to LC database using SAPNDL user, password is less than 8 charecters.

All the credentials maintained in integration data of LC10 is correct.

Kindly advice

Hello,

To make sure that the lcinit script works with the correct liveCache user  you

should run the commands to check the liveCache user in the upc container.

As you did =>

sql_execute user-type=SAP select user from dual

It should return the liveCache user. When an error returns ( unkown user/password ), then no

user is set.

To set the liveCache user the liveCache user in the upc container run:

dbmcli -d NDL -n <LC-server> -u control,<control> user_sap SAPNDL,<SAPNDL-password>

This sets the new user in the upc container.

After that the above command should return SAPNDL

I assumed that you already checked the sql connect as SAPNDL user to the liveCache, and this user is the owner of the liveCache data.

Please see the SAP note 616555 for more details.

After that, repeat the liveCache upgrade.

Hi Natalia,

Thanks a lot. Actually our problem is resolved now. We have implemented the same suggestions, but from many similar other forum where you provided these solution.

Just to mention the solution, as it might be helpful to others, we followed the below procedure.

The password for SAPNDL (Standard SAP database user of live cache) was in capital letters in live cache database, so was maintained in the integration data in LC10. We changed the password, keeping it same in small letters and again tried the connection test in DB59 and was successfully connected. Thus the upgrade also completed successfully.

On thing still remains a mystery that we did not changed password in LC10 integration data, but it worked. Is their any case sensitivity issue in this configuration.

Thanks & regards,

Saravanan Nadar.
