Error message : Master cannot read return value from subprocess 1

Hello All,

We are getting an error message from the Planning Sequence Execution step in the Process Chain.

we are getting the error message as : "Master cannot read return value from subprocess 1"

we have kept as Process in Packages and setted Type of Packaging as - Automatic Packaging but still getting the issue

2) We have tried with with out packaging And getting the same error message 

and very weird thing we have tried the option Type of Packaging as - Configure Packaging and still getting the same error ??

we are currently in 7.3 and we have tried checking for any threads related to this but didn;t found the exact one.

So any one who faced this / having an idea about it are very welcome to give your valuable inputs.

The notes indicated by Marc are valid for BW 7.0.

PJ and I are using BW 7.3.

In the job log BIPLSEQ* we have the following message:

<Message short text UPW 000 does not exist>

I think it may be related to the dataslice.

We will redactivate the DS and see if it works.

Hi PJ,

I am encountering the same issue on a planning sequence executed in a Process chain.

We have this message for all the subprocess:

Subprocess xxx was not successful (RSPLF408)

Master cannot read return value from subprocess xxx (RSPLF412)

Did you find a solution to this issue?

We are running SAP BW 731 SP 08.
