List of components for ESS / MSS : ECC6 EHP7 + Portal 7.3 / 7.4 ?

HI

Could you please help on providing list of components / BPs need to be deployed in ECC and Portals, Please make a note that we are not interested to go with HR Renewals, we are planning to deploy standard BPs like ESS1.50 / MSS addon 1.0 etc, Please let me know complete list of components along with versions need to be deployed.

Our target is to go with WDA version of ESS and MSS.

Business Package for Employee Self-Service (WDA) 1.50 - SAP Library

the above is for ESS WDABAP

ESS - BPERPESSWDA 1.51  activate the business functions HCM_ESS_WDA_1 & HCM_ESS_WDA_2).

Business Package for MSS Add-On 1.0 here activate the business function HCM_MSS_WDA_1

if u want to use MSS Add on  business package you have to deploy EA_HR-MSS and EMBORGCH in your backend system

you  need to deploy SAP Portal 7.04 Compatible  business packages for ESS/MSS.

BPERPESSWDA , MSS Addon 1.0 once you deploy this, you will see Web Dynpro ABAP portal role assigned with ESS Overview (WDA iVIew.)

You have given useful information and we have deployed BPERPESSWDA 1.5 for ESS (as we don;t find 1.51) and BPMSSADDON 1.0 for MSS and activated requited business functions.

Do we need to activate "UI" related business functions though we are not using SAP HR renewals ?

And having any idea about creating "SAP_HCM_PROXY" as some application in ECC were ponting to it ?

Is it must to activate business functions having "UI5" like HCM_MSS_UI5_1 etc ?

Hi Mohan

UI5 is a new version of ESS/MSS - this is a different product to Webdynpro ABAP and both products work standalone - there is no necessity to activate UI5 unless your business want to implement this new version

FYI though if you want to use UI5 you may need to apply an EHP - e.g upgrade to HR Renewal

Thanks a lot for your input, how about "SAP_HCM_PROXY", launching services like "Employee Information" was looking for an object called "SAP_HCM_PROXY", could you please let me know if it need to be created in Portal and ECC ?

if you are using EHP7 only then you require as above read here http://scn.sap.com/thread/3652137 EHP7 you get UI5 based landing pages once you activate the switches only. So ensure first what are using first, please read the above blog

I have did following ... as per given thread

I created system object with system alias SAP_HCM_PROXY.

ICM URL Prefix in System object given as : /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap

In LPD_CUST , set the url as /HRESS_EMP_PRO_G/index.html.

but clicking on "Employee Profile / Create Leave request" etc services in portal were pointing to ...

/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/HRESS_LEAVREQ_G/index.html?sap-client=100

found duplicate entries of "/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap" in the URL, but I have deleted this part from lpd_cust.

How to resolve this issue ?

For ESS and MSS Webdynpro ABAP in EHP5 you need

ESS Business Package 1.5

MSS Business Package Add-on 1.0

EA_HR 605 in the ECC system with the relevant Business functions switched on
