Has anyone tried SQL server in memory feature? I am planning to upgrade our SQL server 2014 and our B1 setup to 9.1 from windows 2003 R2 server with SQL 2005 and business one 8.82
I would like to do some comparisons with the HANA version as it seems that all the DB vendors are starting to offer some sort of in memory feature.
As far as I know this is not a true in memory DB. The MS-SQL in-memory feature allows you to load a select subset of tables into memory. This provides in-memory performance for that subset but the majority of the data remains on disk and you have one disk performance.
As per note 1966681 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1966681), SQL 2014's Hekaton in-memory features will not be supported by SAP.
You will find more information on SAP PartnerEdge, an S-user logon is required.
Best regards,
Duncan
