Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how to configure office 365 server on BI platform so that I can send scheduled reports by Email.
Below are the system details:
SAP BI 4.1 SP05
Microsoft Office 365 Email account
I referred to the SCN post for configuring gmail.
I could easily configure my gmail account.
I tried same logic with Office 365. Instead of using port 465 (for gmail) I used port 995 (for office 365).
That didnt work.
I also tried using port 587 for TLS authentication but that doesnt work either.
SMTP Link for office 365: smtp.office365.com
For simplicity purposes, I have opened all the ports on the firewall and server.
Please let me know if I have missed anything or if my whole approach is incorrect ?
I am open to suggestions and workarounds.
Thanks,
Prathmesh Pai
Dear all,
Has anybody tried to configure successfully Office 365 e-mail for scheduling webi reports in BI 4.1 SP06+? The latest PAM document is a bit hazy on this and only mentions
'Office 365 - No support for integrating cloud Offerings as such.'
Thanks in advance,
ilias

Hi Pai,
It was said that in coming SP06 in June, BI will support SMTP with SSL and Office 365. Let's see.

Hi Ram,
Office 365 is supported from BI 4.1 SP06 onwards and is available in SMP.
Refer the PAM guide: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/507d3365-009b-3010-04b0-e5abc8f00...
For BI 4.0 SP06, it’s not supported and hence not tested by SAP.
Regards,
Neha
