How to setup Eclipse-HANA Studio for SAP Operational Intelligence

Need help in setting up Eclipse-HANA Studio for SAP operational intelligence development,

I have installed Eclipse luna and updated HANA plugins from https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna successfully as mentioned in thread-

But after adding HANA plugins, I don't see an option of 'SAP Operational Process Intelligence -> Business Scenario Project' under Menu Option 'File -> New Project'

1) Am I missing SAP Operational intelligence plugins

2) if yes, can url http://host:port/sap/opi/pv/updatesite be used for adding plugin for eclipse also

3) Is there a separate update site for adding SAP Operational Process Intelligence plugin for eclipse

Please help.

Hello Pallavi,

Yes there is a separate update site for SAP Operational Process Intelligence. Here is the URL template for the update site : http://<host>:80<instance>/sap/opi/pv/updatesite

You have install OpInt Plugins (- these plugins are eclipse based -) using this updatesite.

Please refer the developer's guide (-section 2.1-) for the same

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_hana_opint/SAP_OPInt_Developers_Guide.pdf

HI Archana,

I tried adding SAP OPInt plugin by following the above steps. But getting below message, seems to me, there is a compatibility issue. I am providing error screenshot and error text. Could you please have a look.

My SAP OPInt version is 1.0 SP03 and Patch 0

HCO_BC_TASKMGT- 1.003.0

HCO_OPI_PV-     1.003.0

  1. Do I need to install lower version of SAP HANA Plugins. If yes, what steps do i need to follow for the same.
  2. Is there some other issue

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello Pallavi,

OPInt 1.0 SPS03 is compatible with HANA REV83, for HANA revisions 90 and above please take OPInt SPS04 - as mentioned in the release note.

Hello Chandresh,

OpInt and HANA follows a compatibility matrix. As I see that you are trying to install OpInt 1.0 SP11 PL1, please ensure that you have compatible HANA server and Studio for the same. You can find the information here in SAP Note :

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2029252

If you are trying to install OpInt on HANA Cloud tools then please read this SAP Note:

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2189370

Let me know if you still have issues.

Regards,

Archana
