Dear All,

Can some one please tell me the SAP support end date for oracle 11.2.0.3 and oracle 11.2.0.4 & any relevelent SNOTE where I can find this information.I checked the SNOTE 1174136 - Oracle: End of Support Dates but this SNOTE refers to SAP support end date for oracle 11.2  as whole and not specific for 11.2.0.4 or 11.2.0.3.

I could find this information on oracle support end date for oracle 11.2.0.3 & 11.2.0.4 in the link blogs.oracle.com/UPGRADE/entry/premier_support_for_oracle_11 but couldn't find the same information for SAP support end date for oracle 11.2.0.3 & 11.2.0.4.

Thanks & Regards,

Rajdeep

Hi,

I do not understand the question properly.

1.- End of support for any oracle version is marked by Oracle not by SAP.

2.- in the note mentioned by you (1174136) it can be found when Oracle ends its standard support for the version 11.2 End January 2015) => all versions (11.2.0.1, 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3 and 11.2.0.4)

It is also mentioned that the extended support ends in January 2018. Oracle Extended support only applies to the last patchset (this is not mentioned but, again, standard Oracle)

It also mentions that the first year of extended support is free.

what does not mention there is that, exceptionaly, Oracle will provide free extended support for 11.2.0.3 until end July 2015. Therefore the last SBP will be in august.

This is mentioned on the note 1431799, 1631931 and the most important, 2098258.

Hi

Most of the SAP Customers or non-SAP customers with ORACLE DB has to upgrade 11.2.x.x to its next available version, 12c before or by Jan 2016 to avoid the cost for extended support

Read this note,  2133079 - Oracle Database 12c: Integration in SAP environment for general and Kernel related info.

Also check this from Oracle Premier Support for Oracle 11.2 will end soon ...<BR>Upgrade to Oracle Database 12c now! (Upgr...

Hello Rajdeep,

The answer of your question is "January 2018", which is the end of extended support of 11.2.

As you said, the date for end of extended support for 11.2. is also valid for 11.2.0.3. and 11.2.0.4. The patch level does not matter...

Please check my answer or the SAP note 2098258.

THE PATCH LEVEL DOES MATTER!

Hi Fidel,

You are right!

Related part of note 2098258:

"In general, as of the official start of the extended support phase, Oracle only offers full extended support for the last available Oracle patch set (including corrections for new software errors). For Oracle Version 11.2, this means that only the patch set 11.2.0.4 will receive full extended support until the end of January 2018. To provide customers with more time flexibility for switching to 11.2.0.4, Oracle will also offer free-of-charge extended support for 11.2.0.3 until the end of July 2015 (including patches and patch set updates (PSUs)). The last SAP bundle patch for Oracle 11.2.0.3 is planned for August 2015. As of September 2015, Version 11.2.0.4 must be used in order to receive Oracle extended support."
