first, it takes a lot of time to load the Portal on IE11. The browser gets freeze for longer time. On Chrome it runs fine.

The Portal Content Admin does not open

Hi Sandip

As per the issue you are facing, kindly follow the Note # 2154905 - Accordion: Items collapsed in IE11 quirks mode

And apply the latest patches for the following components mentioned in the Note :

EP-BASIS
AJAX-RUNTIME

Santarshi

The note mentioned about Quirks mode issue, I am running the Portal in Standards mode.

Apart from the accordion collapse, the Portal freezes on IE 11. It becomes un-responsive frequently.

  - Dear Maya, appreciate if you could look into this thread and help.

Hi Sanpid,

Regarding the administration tools in AFP Standard – this is
a limitation for this framework page.

The administration tools are supported only in AFP quirks
(the original AFP).

You can see read it in the note of the AFP Standard
framework page: 2001910 - AFP Standards mode support.

So if you want to use the admonition tool you can add a rule
in the master rule collection to run the Ajax Framework page (not standard the
quirks one) or use the administration tools in Chrome (officially Chrome is
also not supported for administration tools but from my experience it’s
working).

As for the performance issue – I think it might be because
the content is not yet cached in the browser/navigation cache – you’re using a
new framework page and the content is retrieved for the first time from the server
so it takes time.

If it keeps on being so slow after you “warmed up” the
framework page – it will require a deeper investigation to check why it’s happening
only for this framework.

Best Regards,

Maya
