Design Studio – Error Configuration SSO with O OLAP Connection

Hi all,

I have a problem with OLAP Connection with SSO in SAP Design Studio 1.5:

Our Configuration  :

1. SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 5 Patch 3
2. BI Platform Add-on For Design Studio
3. SAP  Design Studio  1.5  : Client Single
4. Sign On Token Service on the BI4 platform

Procedure :

1. Add data source  with connection OLAP with login and password is ok
2. Add data source with OLAP connection with sso, I get the message error :

           Failed to obtain SAP Assertion Ticket for connection "AAA". Check the server-side SSO configuration for user "ZZZ"

My OLAP connection with SSO work fine with WebIntelligence and OLAP Analysis . any help please ?

Hey guys,

we have the similar problem here. The components we use are:

• BI Platform 4.1 SP02
• Design Studio 1.5 SP02 (It still doesn`t work after implementing the patch after having found this thread)

Windows SSO is validly configured according to the post of Victor Gabriel Saiz Castillo and the Admin Guide.

Can you please be of assistance? Has anyone solved this issue?

Hi Marcus,

We are in DS 1.5 SP01 Patch1 and we have not faced this issue, We have SSO configured and working fine, may be some new bugs came with SP02, pls take it up with SAP , and let us know because , we are also planning to Upgrade .

Hi Elaye,

we had a similar issue with our environment and we had raised a high priority ticket with SAP and  the reply we got from SAP is that  DS 1.5 and DS 1.5 SP01 has  some issues with SSO and told us to update with the Patch with is scheduled to release next week. Kindly find the Notes and response from SAP below

Reply from SAP regarding the SSO issue

I just had a conversation with our development team who confirmed that

this is an issue introduced with DS 1.5 SP 1.

The good news is that they already have identified and fixed the

issue. The bad news is that it needs to be delivered in a patch (it

will be DS 1.5 SP 1 Patch 1) which is going to be available in

approximatelly 2 weeks.

In case you cannot live with the issue, that is, keep restarting the

services from time to time, please downgrade your Design Studio BIP

AddOn and Client to 1.5 SP 0.
