Office 365 email config HELP

I have just upgrade to BI 4.1 and am unable to configure Office 365 outlook to schedule reports. i am using patch 6. has anyone successfully configured 365 email to bi 4.1? if so is there any documents or instructions out there?

Hello,

As per the Admin guide for BI 4.1 Sp6 try to apply the following steps:

The Job Servers use the SMTP port to allow send to email.Setting up SMTP over SSL:
To setup SMTP over SSL, it is required that the same certificate be present in the Server and the Client systems. To setup SMTP over SSL, follow the below mentioned steps:

1.On the Windows platform, go to <install_dir>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64.  In addition, for clients connected to the BI Platform, go to <install_dir>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86.

Note For all other supported platforms, navigate to the respective folders.

2. Name the certificate as "certificate.crt". For example, While connecting to the SMTP server, the server will send the certificate detail.
The certificate detail needs to copied to a raw text file and renamed as “certificate.crt”. This must be placed in the win64_x64 folder for the windows platform and in the win32_86 folder for the clients.

SMTP over SSL is now setup.
Note:

- When the user checks the Enable SSL checkbox, a secure channel is enabled. This allows secure SMTP transmission over SSL.�
- SMTP does not support SSL through Events workflow (when user tries to send alert notification over email).

Thanks, but even with the certificate.crt it's not working yet.

Do you have an example which information needs to be set at email destination in APS for office365?

Dear Kevin,

In our test scenario we have used the following values while adjusting Office365 e-mail scheduling destination:

• Domain Name: <optional>
• Host: <smtp server url provided by Microsoft>
• Port: 25
• Authentication: None
• User Name: <blank>
• Password: <blank>

When we set the authentication to None we get an error: "SMTP 530 - verification necessary".

However when we use login authentication with username and password the SMTP is also not working.

Anybody an idea what's going wrong and how to setup the SMTP connection settings in BO?
