AmazonMail for sending Test-Emails

Hi all,

I need to test my campaign but the Amazon setting isn´t clear for me.

Can someone explain the step that need to be done to be able to test a Campaign?

Hi Yoro,

Following is overview of the settings in AWS

  1. Create access user in IAM
  2. Note access-key and secret-key of the user for API access from yMKT
  3. Add send-email and  receive-message as available action to the policy of the user
  4. Create topic in SNS
  5. Create queue in SQS
  6. Subscribe created queue to topic
  7. Set receive bounce message as authorized action to the queue
  8. Register and verify email address as a sender in SES
  9. Assign SNS topic to the verified email

Also, you need to customize access-key, secret-key, bounce path and sender email in yMKT.

Hi Maris,

Please confirm following configurations

  • Access-key and Secret-key

Tr-cd: ME_AMAZONXS can be used to change these credentials.

  • Bounce queue path

It can be changed path prefix in the RFC destination using Tr-cd: SM59 directly.
  e.g.)  RFC destination: AMAZONBOUNCE
           Path prefix: /NNNNNNNNNNNN/BOUNCEA  

You can confirm your prefix from URL of your queue in AWS SQS.

  • Sender email

Yoro,

in short, you need Amazon account first and change some settings there. Then you need to set up Amazon e-mail adapter in the yMarketing.

For Amazon settings there is a task in the initial setup, I guess you need to rerun it or run this step separately.
