what is responsible cost center in work order (maintenance order). is this cost center same as the cost center to which we settle the work order

Responsible cost center is the cost center which does the maintenance and the settlement cost center is the one which receives the service.

In Maintenance - Maintenance cost centers will be responsible while production cost centers where machines are available and are maintained will be the settlement cost centers.

Hi,

For example there are two departments A&B(two cost centers), the department A is responsible to install a machine in department B.

In the above example, Dept. A is responsible cost center and for Dept.B we need to settle the costs of machine.
