Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212

Hi

I am having a problem in Transporting the change request to Production server. When i click on the Production Server to see the import queue of Production Server i get an error " Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212" but i can see the import queue of QA server and even i am to do the transport to QA server.

Can anyone tell me on what event this error will occur and possible solution to resolve this issue.

If you're using Oracle database, be sure that the listener is running. If the listener is not running tp will end with 0212.

Dear Kishore,

Even I m facing the same error where i had consistency check sucessful.When I goto transport tool in that i get error only in

DB Connect Link to database failed

Offline Call could not access file as supposed (see..

Please Suggest me what would be reason for this error.

Hello Kishore,

First analyze the problem from the network level,

1.where do you have the common transport directory,

2.If it is DEV server,log in to PRD server and goto START>run>

-->give:
DEVhostname\sapmnt\trans (this is common trans port directory)

-->while you give straightly this it will go to the directory ..

--> It shouldn't ask the Uid and Pwd...

-->if it ask Uid & Pwd,just enable the Guest account in ALL the

server,especially in DEV(if this is having common trans port directory)

-->Orelse if the common transport directory in QA server,follw the above

steps...

3.Every thing is ok...

-->Log in to the server where you have the Transport domain controller,

tcode: stms

click overview>systems>

In that select each server and check the

*connection test

*Transport directory

*Transport Tool

--->In al the server,the transport directory should be the Common Transport

Directory and check all the server in the same transport group also...

Follow this steps...I hope it will be useful for you..

...and do not forget to check if all the systems in the transport landscape belong to the same transport group.

Hello Kishore,

Just check if the file permissions for data files and control files are properly set. Check using AL11 transaction in production if you can display the corresponding data and co file. Also check the transport directory is mounted on prodcution ir not ?

The problem is TP tool unable to connect database ..

Please provide system log

Use Transaction STMS_IMPORT

menu ---> GoTo ---> tpsystemlog

Hi,

check tp tool ..do follow steps

Transaction : STMS --> click on system overview

Select Quality system

Menu Bar --> SAP System ---> check ---> Transport tool

do same for production system

Let me know the result..
