Hi

I am getting an errr in the BSP applicatio n wheni try to run it

the error is

Business Server Page (BSP) error

What happened?

Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.

SAP Note

The following error text was processed in the system:

Die URL enthält keine vollständige Domainangabe (ss000006 statt ss000006.).

Exception Class CX_FQDN

Hi Kamaljeet,

I have made changes to FQDN and if u manually change it in the browser address then it works fine.

But if i am triggering it from the application it is still not taking the full domain name.

Am i missing something here

you just restart your WAS, it will work fine.

HI Kamaljeet,

I had just refreshed it, not restarted it.

But i just checked the profile in the unix system and the profile looks fine to me.

The system will restart at night so it will pickup the new profile.

One smal question do i need to maintain a entry in hosts file for this now.

To your add-on question, whether you need an entry in the hosts file - depends on the name you gave the server, if it is going to be resolved correctly by your DNS or not.

if you are using a WebUI, please check SAPNote 1832389

Browsers supported by BSP - check SAPNote 598860

If you are using Safari or Chrome, please check SAPNote 1634749 and 1655306

In case using FireFox, check SAPNote 1691434

hi

i am also getting the same error as u r getting previously, for this i know that we have to change the domail name .but my basis admin is not accepting to change the domain name , will there be any problem if i change that through transaction RZ10 . in our company if i change that server domain name , will it reflect all other people who are working on that server

You don't have to change the server domain name!

There are two things that name your web server:

the hostname and the domain name

And the error mentioned here is occuring because in the profile there is only the hostname, and not the FQDN (fully qualified domain name), which includes the domain as well

So you don't change the domain name at all, you only complete the hostname entry to contain the domain as well.

just add '.' to the server name

http://shai1:8000/sap -> http://shai1.:8000/sap

worked for me on XP

hi nikhil,

u have to set FQDN for ur system.

u can check this ,while running ur BSP application, if URL on browser is coming as http://server:port/sap/bc/, then ur FQDN is not set.

it must come like http://server.xyz.com:port/sap/bc.
