Error in Object Editing

Hi All,

I am unable to goto CHANGE mode of SMARTFORMS and also unable to CREATE a program in SE38. While trying to do this I am getting an Error Message : Changes to Repository or Cross Client Customizing are not Permitted. Choose Display Object or Cancel .

I would appreciate if you can explain me the reason for this Error Message and How to Resolve it.

Thanks and Regards

This means you are trying to change the ojects in the client which is currently not editable.

Generally, all clients otherthan development are type of this.

You can check the tcode SCC4 to change the status of the client.

Select the client and press double click. Here you can change the settings.

Keep in mind that changes should be permitted in the development only.

Hi Naimesh,

Thanks for your quick response. I am in Development Client only.

And I was trying to working on Custom Smartforms.

I have gone through SCC4,

Can you let me know, Which setting I have to select there. I am unsure of my selections.

Settings in the SCC4's client independent object changes:

Client-independent object changes:

Changes to repository and cross-client customizing allowed
