Hi Parmod,

Have you created the system and userID passwords OK?

my issue was with the services file which needs an entry for SAP Message server

sapms XY1 where XY1 is the SID of ECC server.

Reward points if answer is helpful.

Hi,

Clearly Message Server Host eccr3dev is not reachable. Just check the Message Host details in the Portal.

Logon to the Portal with Administrative rigths:

--> Choose 'System Administration'

--> Choose 'Support'

--> Click on the Top Level Area 'SAP WebAS System Information'

--> In the section Test and Configuration tools click on 'SAP WebAS System Information'.

Hi,

One thing you can do. Just login to SAP R3. Go to Transaction SMGW.

Gateway Monitor. Click on Goto Menu than choose Parameter and click on display.

Search for Gateway Hotname and Gateway Service. This is u r Message Host name and port. Jsut make this entries in JCo maintain destination screen.

Hi,

are the parameters for host and port correct (host eccr3dev, service sapmsTU1)? Can you do a telnet from the portal server to

telnet eccr3dev sapmsTU1

When you entered the service name while the portal was up and running, can you check whether a restart of the j2ee engine helps (I had this problem before that the J2EE Engine would cache the service data)

Regards,

Holger.
