Hi,
We have two SAP Solution Manager Systems. One in our offices and one on the customer side. Is it possible to transfer all the project data (Business Blueprint, Scenarios, etc) from one system to another ? I suppose that could be done using the SAP transport system (requests) or export and import files ?
Thanks

Hi,
Has anyone been able to transfer business blueprint contents from an implementation project to maintenance project? If yes, could you please shed some light on the process? Screenshots would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ganesh

Hi John,
Can you also please mention if you intend such transfers of Project Structure and Content happening at regular intervals OR is it a one-time copy of the Project & its contents ?
To know this for sure will help you determine if there is any other strategy that can serve better.
For instance, if there is a chance that you may have to do this on a regular basis, updating the customer SolMan system with incremental 'content' from your SolMan system, may be a better approach could be to use Template Project approach and transport Templates, from time to time, rather than the whole Project.
Since Template base approach is really deep, you should of go for it only if the situation really requires it (else, it will be like Sledgehammer used to crack a nut, as they say!)

John,
I think one of the person earlier mentioned it incorrectly. You will have to use SOLAR_MIGRATE to copy over a project from one system onto another. You can export the project from source system into a HD or DVD and then use the data within that to import into another box.
Some things to remember though - Documents can be of ANY status, that wouldnt affect. The moment you perform SOLAR_MIGRATE of any project, that project will then become READ_ONLY. So make sure that you create a copy of the project in the source system, and then SOLAR_MIGRATE the copy to the new system.
Also, if you have templates from the project you want to copy available as scope in other Implementation Projects, you will not be able to do SOLAR_MIGRATE.
Once you SOLAR_MIGRATE, i believe all the documents will be renamed as "Copy of... "

Hi John,
it will take all the documents that are assigned in your blueprint sctructure as long as the status is Released.

Hi John,
you can use the Transport functionality within Solar_Project_admin to do that.
