Sales Opportunity Stages

Does any one knows how to delete the stages in the sales opportunity forever to create a new one

Hi,

I hope you want to change the record in the Sales Stages master.

Open the Sales Stages master and you can delete there itself.

If you need something else let me know in detail pl.

Hi Reddy,

In Administration --> Setup --> Sales Opportunities --> Sales Stages Form.

In this form you can add the sales stages. (Sales Stage name, Stage No., Closing percentage).

First, I want to know atpresent how many stages you are having and How many stages you are going to have in future?

Let me know these details, So that i can guide you accordingly.

To delete the stage name you right click the mouse on Stage name and select delete to delete the name.

thanks for the reply

still i am not able to delete the stages completely

i want to delete all the stages which are 9 in total i have. and create new one with new names and new percentages. when i treid to delete it says not enough data

Hi Reddy,

Initially, you had 9 stages in Sales Opportunities.

Now You replace the new stages in this master and then for the rest of the stages just give dummy name and tick the Cancelled check box in corrosponding rows.

For Ex. Now you have only 6 stages, enter the stages from 1st row to 6th row and from 7th row you give dummy name and tick the Cancelled check box.

The dummy names will not be displayed in sales opportunities module's sales stages.

I hope this will solve your problem. Let me know the status.

i was trying to follow your message, there is an error message appears as follows:

[Microsoft][sql native client][sql server] cannot insert duplicate key row in object ‘dbo.oost’ with unique index ‘oost_step’. ‘sales stage’ (OOST)

Hi Reddy,

You remove the datas in Stages No. column and Closing Percentage column.

It works fine in my database.
