what does error 8 in SAP BW means

while loading a flat file in an ODS,i have come across error 8. Can some 1 explain me what it means?

Most of the time you could solve this error by logging out and logging back in.

BW caches the object definition of objects and logging out clears that

If this doesn't work then you might want delete the DS and assign again

The last words should be read as "was found in a newer version".

It is not a flat file format issue. The system says that the active version of your Infosource is older then another version.

I'd recommend to delete Infosource - Source system assignment (with PSA tables etc.).

Then save (activate) the Infosource (communication structure). Then assign source system, create infopackage and load data again.

Try executing program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL.

Hope it works, it's strange because deleting and remake all should work.
